Paid Fellowship Opportunity

We're happy to share a brand-new paid Computer Science fellowship opportunity with พรพรสำฦต! You'll work with large amounts of data to create a 3D digital replica of Los Angeles--called a digital twin--and use it to brainstorm ways for the city to prepare for climate change and achieve equitable urban design. You'll be working with engineers, urban planners, and climate researchers to turn data into useful insights for the city. No experience is required, but previous experience with Python and geospatial tools (i.e. GeoPandas, Shapely, etc) would be preferred. More info can be found in the flyer above! 

Climate-Palooza Game Convention on Sept 25th

 Join us at Day 2 of Climate Palooza for a day full of video game related activities and events! On Thursday, Sept. 25th from 9:30am to 2:30pm, you can hear from game industry professionals about their careers and the relationship between the game industry and climate change. You'll also have the chance to play student-made video games! Free lunch will be available and raffles will be held as well! Essentials of Robotics & Programming Certificate

With our new Essentials of Robotics & Programming Certificate, you can learn all about how to design, build, and program a robot with mechatronics and software engineering! Upon completing your certificate, you'll be able to keep the robot you designed!

Data science is often considered a part of, or a field that heavily utilizes, Artificial Intelligence (AI). While distinct, data science and AI are closely related and often work together. Data science provides the data and foundational techniques, like machine learning, that AI relies on to learn and make predictions.

The Certificate of Achievement in Data Analytics provides students with the skills and knowledge needed for employment in the rapidly emerging field of data analytics, which comprises analyzing and interpreting the datasets now available in a wide range of organizations and industries. Modern data analytics brings together tools and techniques from business, communication, information system & information technology to collect, interpret and represent datasets to illustrate concepts and inform decisions. This program is intended to help students develop skills to perform data manipulation, data analysis, data visualization and data reporting.

Essentials of Game Programming Certificate

พรพรสำฦต Essentials of Game Programming Certificate program continues this fall with GAD 101: Intro to Game Design and Film Production 201: Intro to Unreal Engine! These are both beginner-friendly classes that will make a great starting point for your game design journey. In GAD 101, you'll learn about the concepts behind game design and build your own game prototypes. In Film Prod 201, you'll get experience with industry-standard game programming software.

Get extra help with your Computer Science & Information Technology classes at the Open Lab in TLC 404.

Monday - Thursday: 10:00am - 2:00pm and 3:00pm to 6:30pm, Lunch Break 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Friday: 8:30am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm, Lunch Break 1:00pm - 2:00pm

  • CA Residents: $46 / unit (most classes are 3 units)
    CA Residents of any age who are first-time freshmen may qualify for the $0 TUITION PROMISE PROGRAM and/or fee waivers, as well as other financial aid available after filing the
  • Out-of-State Residents: $282 / unit (most classes are 3 units)
    Out-of-state students may qualify for grants and other financial aid after submitting the . Additionally, many West classes use $0 cost online textbooks and materials.
