If you’re a photographer and use a Mac, chances are you’re using Lightroom or Aperture. Probably Lightroom, since Aperture is less popular among pros — and the latest version seems to be an acknowledgment of that. The features added in version 3 are clearly intended to draw casual shooters using iPhoto to the paid image editing honey pot. Since so many of these amazing new features are direct side-loads from iPhoto, it smooths the process and makes the program as a whole more approachable, though whether existing Aperture users will find them helpful is questionable. Brushes, on the other hand, are a welcome addition to any photographer’s toolset, and depending on how dedicated you are, may be worth the price of admission. Read On…

Photographer Chase Jarvis has just released a new book entitled -

“The Best Camera Is The One That’s With You” iPhone Photography by Chase Jarvis.

It’s his latest bok filled with nothing but photos from the passed year taken with his iPhone. He used a 3g, no autofocus on the guy. So if I hear one more person complain about the quality of the iPhone camera, so help me ….

I’m a dedicated Nikon shooter that is always looking to expand my knoledge base. Thanks to the iPhone, I’m able to carry with me some Apps that I have found to be great quick reference guides to everything Nikon.

Avid files with Final Cut Pro

Avid Codecs are available for FCP. So if you use both this codec will save you time of exporting. You can take your raw footage out of one system and go directly into another. Look on Avid’s Website for the codec.
