Few moths ago I was wandering down Las Olas Blvd, in Fort Lauderdale’s riverfront district. I snapped this picture of a store front that caught my eye. It was a beautifully sad thing, mainly because this was taken on a Saturday night. A true and unparalleled display of our current economic plight. With no one around it made a great spot for a night shoot, but i couldn’t help notice that these places are lost without people.

Flamingo Gardens in Davie Florida
A great escape from the concrete jungle of South Florida, Flamingo Gardens is a safe haven for a large assortment of plants, animals, and history. Animals wander all over the reserve allowing most people to get right up close. Flamingo Gardens also features a fully enclosd habitat where birds of all shapes and sizes are free to roam…and poop (consider that a warning). Reasonably priced and with student discounts its a great stop of anyone, especially if you’re handy with a camera.
