Its been a while since I have taken a look at cameras. I have been lost in the world of ease of use with my iPhone. With portability you rarely think about a true image of brilliance such as the Red One™. The great thing about this camera is it is the only camera built for the upgrade. What I mean by that last statement, think of a car, you want it to go fast but you got to start at the stock model. Well with the Red One™ it is the same idea. It only weights 10 lbs, with a modular design which allows it to be upgraded as the team at Red Digital Cinema works on updates. This camera is an investment for a life time of use and upgrades starting at 17,500 USD. Also there are 50+ upgrades that you can choose from to make your Red a life time of great cinematography.

Do you miss the days of the Polaroid camera, when you took a picture and a print came out instantly (or after giving it a few shakes)? Do you like the look of photographs taken back in the day? Now, in just three simple steps, you can indulge in that nostalgia. Poladroid is a Polaroid Image Maker, a simple program which allows you to take photos and turn them into Polaroid pictures almost instantly. All you need to do is drag and drop your photo to the program to get a Polaroid version of the original picture!

Features of the program include:

Easy to use : Drag & Drop

Generate High-resolution pictures (400 dpi), “ready-to-print” with a Polaroid design

Funny : only 10 treatments per session, like the content of a cartridge ; interactive (look at the demo below) ; random and realistic Polaroid-like colors variation…

With Poladroid, you no longer have to fiddle with your graphics programs, adjusting the colors and adding the appropriate white space to create your own Polaroids. All it takes is three simple steps to create it. First, download, install, and open Poladroid. Next, drag and drop the file of the photo that you want to convert into a Polaroid. Then, wait as the program works its magic; it even allows you to grab the developing photo and give it a few shakes. Once its done, the converted Polaroid is automatically saved in the file folder of your choice. Poladroid even allows you to post the finished product to Flickr!

The result is that you get a very close approximation of what your original photograph would look like if it were taken using a Polaroid camera. Here’s a sample using a Creative Commons picture found on Flickr. Here’s the original:

<img style=”display:block;border:0 initial initial;margin:0 auto;” src=”http://www.frostclick.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/poladroid04.jpg” alt=”original photo by

original photo by Dave-F licensed under Creative Commons

And here’s the Poladroid version:

As you can see, the colors in the picture are a little more faded and washed up, giving the photograph a “vintage” feel. The program is great for both serious photography buffs as well as casual users.

To Download:
