Battlefield Pinhole Camera –using 20 from Udi Tirosh on Vimeo.
If you’re interested in pinhole photography but you’ve been underwhelmed by some of the simple pinhole designs we’ve shared and you’ve seen around the net,the Battlefield Pinhole Camera is like the luxury SUV of the DIY pinhole camera world.
Pinhole photograph is an old but still novel technique for taking interesting photos. Unfortunately pinhole cameras tend to be pretty boring in design—usually little more than a light-sealed box with a pinhole and a flap of electrical tape or such over the hole. The Battlefield Pinhole Camera is a beefy DIY camera that takes not just one pinhole snapshot but three simultaneously—it holds three rolls of film and projects the image onto all three rolls at the same time creating a composite image across the three. In the sample above the author of the project used a combination of black and white and color film for quite an interesting effect.
